65+ Ecommerce Sites in Bangladesh: Online Stores Organized by What You Want to Buy

There's no shortage of online shops in Bangladesh. The hard part is knowing which one to trust with your money for the thing you actually need.

A phone, a week of groceries, a face serum and a sofa carry different risks, and the right place to buy each one is rarely the same site. A big marketplace can be perfect for a phone case and a poor choice for an expensive laptop. A brand's own store is the safest place for a Panjabi, and no help at all if you also need rice and detergent.

So this guide groups 67 active Bangladeshi ecommerce sites by what you want to buy. For each one, you'll find what kind of business it is, what it sells, what its own published policies say about payment, delivery, returns and warranty, what technology its website runs on, and what to check before you order.

How the list is ordered. Stores are numbered 1 to 67 and, within each category, ordered by estimated website traffic (Semrush, then Ahrefs). Stores without traffic data follow alphabetically. This reflects reach, not quality.

Three Things to Know Before You Shop

A marketplace is not a store. On Daraz, thousands of independent sellers list products, so the seller matters almost as much as the platform. A retailer such as Star Tech sells its own stock, and a brand store such as Aarong sells directly to you (D2C).

Cash on delivery protects your money, not your return. Many stores expect you to inspect the item while the delivery person is still at your door.

Warranty depends on where you buy. The same phone can carry a brand warranty in one shop and only a shop warranty in another, so read the invoice.

How Online Shopping Works in Bangladesh Today

Market size estimates vary. ECDB estimates ecommerce revenue at about US$6 billion in 2025; a ResearchAndMarkets databook puts the B2C market at US$7.41 billion in 2025, reaching US$9.65 billion by 2029.

Shopping happens on phones. About 80 percent of ecommerce volume came from mobile devices in 2024, according to payments research.

Payment is flexible. Most stores take cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad and cards, and many electronics stores offer EMI. Couriers such as Steadfast, Pathao, RedX and Paperfly handle much of the delivery outside Dhaka.

Trust took a hit, and rules followed. After the collapse of Evaly and other shops, the government made the Digital Business Identity (DBID) system mandatory. The Digital Commerce Operational Guidelines 2021 also require marketplaces to display return policies, delivery method and delivery time, and to appoint a compliance officer who handles complaints and works with the Directorate of National Consumers' Right Protection (DNCRP). The safety section near the end shows how to use these rules.

How We Chose and Checked These Stores

We started with more than 80 candidates from existing lists, search results and August 2026 Semrush and Ahrefs data. Each store had to be active, sell to consumers in Bangladesh, and publish enough contact and policy information to judge it.

For each store, we read its own pages on payment, delivery, returns, refunds and warranty, plus app listings, news coverage and public reviews. We did not place test orders.

About the traffic estimates. Some profiles show an “Estimated traffic” line. Both Semrush and Ahrefs estimate monthly organic search visits, not total website traffic. Their estimates use different methodologies, so they aren't directly comparable and don't include in-app shopping activity. We use these estimates only to order stores within each category, as described above. A store without this line simply wasn't included in the data we used.

About customer feedback. Unhappy customers post more than satisfied ones, and many review pages are years old, so we describe patterns only when we saw them repeated.

About the "Built with" lines. We checked each store's public page code and server headers for signs of its platform, framework, and hosting. These are external observations, not statements from the stores, and a site's back end is often hidden, so treat them as a guide.

Disclosure: Notionhive designs and builds ecommerce websites. It built Gentle Park, one of the stores listed here, as noted in that store’s profile. No store paid for inclusion or placement.

"Not verified" means we couldn't find or load that store's published terms. It doesn't mean the store has no policy. Policies change often, so confirm current terms on the store's site before paying.

General Marketplaces

Use these when your list spans several categories. For anything expensive, prefer official stores and well rated sellers.

1. Daraz

Daraz homepage with marketplace categories and DarazMall deals, the largest of the ecommerce sites in Bangladesh by reach

Website: daraz.com.bd

Estimated traffic: about 48.8 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026); about 3.6 million monthly organic search visits (Ahrefs, August 2026)

Built with: React front end on Alibaba Group infrastructure (Tengine server, Alibaba CDN)

The largest general marketplace in Bangladesh by reach, selling almost every category. Most listings come from independent sellers; DarazMall is for brands and official stores.

  • Returns: damaged, defective, wrong or incomplete items must be reported within 14 days under the main policy, but a FAQ page says 7, so act within 7 to be safe.
  • Change of mind: not accepted for phones, tablets or beauty products; accepted for most clothing and shoes if unworn with tags (not for non DarazMall overseas items).
  • Refunds: 4 to 5 working days for bKash and bank deposit, 1 to 2 for vouchers.
  • Feedback: mixed; Trustpilot complaints repeat around delayed refunds, wrong items and hard to reach agents.

Before you order: prefer DarazMall for expensive items and check whether the item ships from overseas.

2. Othoba

Othoba homepage showing groceries, electronics and fashion, a PRAN-RFL linked marketplace among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: othoba.com

Estimated traffic: about 7.4 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026)

Built with: nopCommerce (ASP.NET), jQuery, Cloudflare

Launched in 2015 and linked to the PRAN-RFL Group, Othoba sells groceries, electronics, fashion, beauty, furniture, baby care and more, from RFL and outside vendors.

  • Returns are narrow: report missing, wrong or defective items by handing the package back to the delivery agent. Once accepted, Othoba says it can't take claims. RFL products can't be returned after receipt, grocery replacements need a request within 24 hours, and the buyer pays return courier charges.
  • Refunds: 1 to 10 working days for prepaid out of stock orders; gateway fees apply if you cancel a prepaid order, and EMI fees are deducted.
  • Delivery: same or next day only for selected vendors in Dhaka, on orders confirmed before 10 am. Support: 09613800800, 9 AM to 10 PM.

Before you order: open and inspect the package in front of the delivery person. That's effectively your return window.

3. Cartup

Cartup homepage with fashion, electronics and grocery categories, a newer marketplace on our list of ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: cartup.com

Built with: Next.js (React), Cloudflare

A newer multi category marketplace with outside sellers, covering fashion, electronics, groceries, beauty, and home and living. Its App Store listing claims next day delivery in Dhaka (Cartup Picks and Cartup Fast), accepts cards, bKash, Nagad and Upay, and offers returns on eligible items within 7 days. Its office is at Rahman Regnum Centre, Tejgaon, hotline +8809613444455; the website and app list different support hours.

What customers say. Cartup's Trustpilot page showed 3.1 out of 5 from only 8 reviews when we checked. Late 2025 reviews praise Cartup Fast delivery, the app and order notifications; May 2026 reviews describe confirmed orders that never shipped, seller cancellations and hard to get refunds. That's too small a sample to call a trend.

Suits: Dhaka shoppers who want fast marketplace delivery and are comfortable with a newer platform. Before you order: check the seller and whether your item is return eligible.

Groceries and Daily Essentials

For groceries, three details decide how happy you'll be: how long you have to report a problem (often a day or less for fresh food), whether refunds go to an in app balance, and whether your area is covered. Planned delivery services suit a weekly shop; fast delivery suits a few top up items.

4. Shwapno

Shwapno online supermarket homepage with grocery and household items, one of the grocery ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: shwapno.com

Estimated traffic: about 2.9 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026)

Built with: Next.js (React), Cloudflare

ACI's supermarket chain, selling online since 2017, with around 300 outlets across 58 districts as of March 2023. Its app lists over 10,000 items, and its website lists online delivery in Dhaka, Chattogram, Cumilla and Sylhet. All orders go through Shwapno's own delivery team, quoted times are estimates, and the delivery charge isn't refunded for late orders. You can refuse a partial order before delivery for a refund. The return conditions sit on a separate policy page.

Before you order: read that return page and check expiry dates on arrival.

5. Chaldal

Chaldal homepage with grocery categories and time slot delivery, an online grocery store among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: chaldal.com

Estimated traffic: about 1.7 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026)

Built with: React with a Node.js (Express) server, Cloudflare

Chaldal has run online grocery delivery for more than a decade from its own warehouses (the dark store model), selling groceries, fresh food, household and baby products with time slot delivery. It has served Dhaka, Narayanganj, Chattogram, Jashore, Khulna, Sylhet and Rajshahi, but check that your area is still covered.

Important: Chaldal is struggling with a severe financial crisis.

In March 2026, The Business Standard reported a severe liquidity crisis. Staff at its Jashore customer service hub protested after three to four months of unpaid salaries, the workforce had been cut from about 3,300 to about 2,200, and the company sought around Tk 40 crore in state support.

  • Payment: cash on delivery, card and bKash.
  • Returns: 7 days for most unopened packaged goods, 1 day for perishables; a few health items aren't returnable.
  • Refunds: go to Chaldal Balance by default, spendable only on Chaldal. Ask support first if you want money back elsewhere.
  • Fees: some items carry a handling fee, and a help page mentions Tk 39 delivery on orders under Tk 300.

Chaldal said the dispute was resolved in March, but a September 2026 report by the World Socialist Web Site, a political news outlet, said wage delays had returned in Jashore. Until this is clearly resolved, pay cash on delivery, keep your Chaldal Balance low and avoid large advance orders.

6. Foodpanda and Pandamart

Foodpanda Bangladesh homepage with Delivery, Pandamart and Shops tabs, one of the ecommerce sites in Bangladesh for quick grocery orders

Built with: React with a Node.js (Express) server, Cloudflare

Foodpanda's grocery service, Pandamart, runs its own dark stores with over 7,000 products (according to one of its founders, speaking to The Business Standard) and advertises delivery in as little as 30 minutes. "foodpanda shops" adds partner stores, which have included Unimart.

  • Cancellations are strict: a refund is possible only before the vendor accepts the order, and late cancellations can remove cash on delivery for future orders.
  • Refunds: go to a Foodpanda Refund Balance first, which you can move back to your original payment method.
  • Payment: card or cash on delivery.

Before you order: check your cart carefully. Once accepted, you can't cancel for a refund.

7. Meena Bazar Online

Meena Bazar Online homepage showing Bangla grocery offers and 59-minute delivery, a supermarket chain among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: Angular 15, Nginx

The online arm of the Meena Bazar supermarket chain. Returns are possible only on the same day and only for defective products. Perishables such as vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, milk and rice are final once accepted, and the store isn't liable for claims after the delivery person leaves. If you cancel an order paid by bKash or SSLCommerz, cashback is deducted from the refund. Support: 09678666111, 9 am to 9 pm.

Before you order: be home to check every item at the door, and make sure you're on meenabazaronline.com, not an unrelated Indian "Meena Bazaar" site.

8. Unimart

Unimart online store asking shoppers to choose a delivery zone and area before browsing, a premium grocery option on ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: Flutter web app, Nginx

United Group's supermarket chain, open since 2013. Its locations include Gulshan 2 (the original hypermarket), Dhanmondi, Wari, Gulshan 1, Sylhet, Centrepoint near the airport and, since 2026, Uttara. Its online store launched with courier Paperfly, at first covering about 5 km around Gulshan and Dhanmondi, with cash on delivery, bKash, card and store pickup. Coverage has likely changed as branches opened, so check your address. We found too little public feedback on its online orders to describe.

Suits: shoppers near a Unimart branch who want imported and premium groceries, with pickup as a backup.

Organic and Specialty Food

These stores sell items like honey, ghee, mustard oil, dates and nuts. The biggest risk here is a copycat website using a brand's name, so type the address yourself or use a bookmark.

9. Falaq Food

Falaq Food website with honey, dates, pickle and masala categories, listed under organic food ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: falaqfood.com

Built with: Angular with server rendering (Express), Cloudflare

Falaq Food sells honey, dates, dry foods, nuts and seeds, pickles, masala, ghee and tea. It lists an office at Bosila Future Town, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, and a DNCC trade license number on its site. Hotline: 09613821489.

  • Returns: notify within 3 days of receipt with proof of the fault, and return the item in its original packaging.
  • Refunds: 7 to 10 business days after approval, or you can choose a replacement.

We found no independent public feedback to describe. Before you order: photograph the product when it arrives, since you'll need proof for any claim.

10. Ghorer Bazar

Ghorer Bazar homepage with honey, oil and ghee, dates and spice menus, a well-known pantry shop among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: getCommerce store platform (PHP), jQuery, Cloudflare

Sells mustard oil, ghee, honey, dates, chia seeds and nuts across Bangladesh. The Business Standard (January 2024) names Jamshed Mojumdar and Md Nazmus Sakib as founders. Hotline 09642922922; WhatsApp +8801321208940.

  • Delivery: Tk 70 in Dhaka and Chattogram city (about 72 hours), Tk 130 elsewhere (about 4 working days); Dhaka express for Tk 100.
  • Returns: within 3 days for damaged, defective or wrong items, unused in original packaging.
  • Refunds: 1 to 3 working days to bKash or Nagad (cash on delivery orders too); 7 to 15 for cards.

Copycat warning: several sites copy its name and descriptions, one with a fake phone number. Don't confuse it with Ghorebazar (ghorebazar.com), a separate Dhaka grocery shop.

Before you order: type ghorerbazar.com yourself and check the phone number matches.

11. Khaas Food

Khaas Food homepage listing poultry, rice, honey, spices and dairy categories, one of the natural food ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: khaasfood.com

Built with: Next.js (React) front end with WordPress behind it, Cloudflare

An organic and natural food retailer selling staples, honey, oils, spices and dates.

  • Returns: 7 days for quality, price or validity problems with proof of purchase; 48 hours for perishables. You get a replacement or your money back.
  • Refunds: to mobile banking or card in 5 to 7 business days, based on the price you paid.
  • Delivery: same day where possible, otherwise within 24 hours; an older directory listing describes home delivery in Dhaka and Chattogram with courier delivery elsewhere. Orders over 15 kg delivered above the second floor without a lift cost an extra Tk 10 per 5 kg.

Before you order: confirm you're on khaasfood.com; we found a similarly named site copying its refund text.

12. Naturo

Naturo homepage promoting lab-tested batches, hakim consultation and 7-day returns, a specialty store on our list of ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: naturobd.com

Built with: Next.js (React), hosted on Vercel

Started in 2022, Naturo sells honey (including Sundarbans varieties), mustard oil, ghee, dates, nuts, herbal powders, miswak and superfoods, and offers free Unani (hakim) consultations. Its office and display center are at Noor Tower, Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, and it says every batch is lab tested. Customer care: 09678812525.

  • Delivery: 1 to 3 working days in Dhaka city, 2 to 5 in other districts.
  • Returns: wrong, damaged, short weight or near expiry items (under a month left) are refunded in full even if opened. Change of mind is allowed within 48 hours with the seal intact, at your courier cost.
  • Refunds: 3 to 5 working days to bKash, Nagad or bank; 7 to 14 for cards.

We found no independent reviews yet. Suits: shoppers who want natural honey and pantry staples with a generous return policy.

Phones, Gadgets and Accessories

Phones are expensive, easy to fake, and an unregistered phone can be cut off from mobile networks. A shop's name says nothing about its link to a brand; the warranty on the invoice does.

13. Apple Gadgets

Apple Gadgets homepage with a custom PC offer, 36-month EMI and laptop categories, a multi-brand gadget chain among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Estimated traffic: about 12.9 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026); about 1.6 million monthly organic search visits (Ahrefs, August 2026)

Built with: Next.js (React), Cloudflare

Despite the name, this is not Apple. It's a Bangladeshi retail chain selling phones, laptops, watches, audio and appliances from Apple, Samsung and many other brands, through outlets, its website and hotline.

  • Refunds: advance payments are not fully refundable. If the store fails to deliver, it refunds in 3 to 10 working days (up to 14 for SSL gateway payments).
  • Faults: report courier delivered defects the same day or within 24 hours, without using the product (+8809613048048, 10 am to 6 pm).

Before you order: get the warranty type written on the invoice.

14. Dazzle

Dazzle’s dark-themed homepage with iPhone banners and phone, tablet and smartwatch categories, a phone retailer covered in our ecommerce sites in Bangladesh guide

Website: dazzle.com.bd

Hotline: 09638001122.

  • Payment: bKash (a 1% charge may apply), SSL gateway or bank transfer. Cash on delivery needs a small advance to confirm the order.
  • Delivery: nationwide; it advises recording an unboxing video in front of the delivery agent.
  • Returns: its refund page didn't load for us, so terms are not verified.

Suits: buyers who want official warranty units and store pickup.

15. Pickaboo

Pickaboo homepage with kitchen appliance deals, AC offers and official warranty badges, an electronics store among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

  • Payment: online, bKash, cash or card on delivery, and 0% EMI, with countrywide delivery.
  • Feedback: mixed; Trustpilot praise for quick delivery sits alongside complaints about refused returns.

16. Gadget & Gear

Gadget & Gear homepage showing iPhone 18 Pro, AirPods and its Apple Authorized Reseller badge, an Apple channel among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Estimated traffic: about 2.7 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026); about 585,000 monthly organic search visits (Ahrefs, August 2026)

Built with: Next.js (React) front end with WordPress content, Cloudflare

Founded in 2011 as a single shop, Gadget & Gear now lists 22 outlets across Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet. It describes itself as an Apple Authorized Reseller, and its Gadget Studio store at bti Landmark, Gulshan Avenue, appears in Apple's own store locator. Beyond Apple it sells phones, audio, wearables, cameras, networking and gaming gear.

  • Warranty: varies by product and is shown on each product page.
  • Payment and delivery: EMI through partner banks on eligible items, with nationwide delivery.
  • Returns: the return page didn't load its text, so terms are not verified.

Suits: Apple buyers who want an authorized channel with many outlets.

17. Motion View

Motion View homepage with smartwatches, earbuds, power banks and brands like Anker and OnePlus, a gadget distributor on ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Estimated traffic: about 744,000 monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026)

Built with: Next.js (React), Cloudflare

An importer and distributor of "eco products" (smartwatches, earbuds, chargers, power banks, smart home devices), naming itself official distributor for Xiaomi, Amazfit, OnePlus, Haylou, Honor, Samsung and Realme. All products carry manufacturer warranty only; you need proof of purchase and pay return shipping for warranty service, and physical or liquid damage voids it. Refunds take 7 to 15 working days.

18. Rio International

Rio International homepage with an iPhone 17 series banner and Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Buds4 Pro, a phone reseller among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: getCommerce store platform (PHP), jQuery

A reseller of iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, Motorola and other phones, plus gadgets and power stations, with branches at Bashundhara City and Jamuna Future Park. Hotline: 09644600600. It offers EMI and an app.

  • Returns: start within 72 hours with a raw, uncut unboxing video. Used and campaign items aren't eligible, and quality checks take 3 to 7 business days.
  • Replacement: 10 days for manufacturing defects, excluding physical or water damage and unauthorized software.
  • Refunds: to your original payment method in 7 to 15 working days; you pay return shipping unless it's a manufacturing defect.

Before you order: ask whether the unit is official or unofficial, and start recording before you open the box.

19. Sumash Tech

Sumash Tech homepage showing iPhone 18 Pro, a PC Builder button and Used Device menu, a phone and laptop shop on our list of ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: Nuxt (Vue), Cloudflare

Sumash Tech started in January 2016 and has outlets at Bashundhara City, Jamuna Future Park, Mirpur and Uttara. It sells both official and unofficial phones, laptops, TVs, ACs and appliances, plus a used device section and a PC builder, and runs a service center called Sumash Care. It offers a 7 day replacement for a valid reason, cash on delivery, cards and installments, with delivery across Bangladesh. Hotline: 09678664664.

Before you order: since it sells both official and unofficial units, confirm which one you're buying and check the IMEI before paying.

Official vs Unofficial Phones

Official phones come through legal import or local manufacturing, usually with brand warranty at authorized service centers. Unofficial (grey market) phones are often cheaper but typically carry only a shop warranty.

The BTRC's National Equipment Identity Register (NEIR) detects unregistered unofficial handsets on mobile networks, and they can be disconnected. A phone brought from abroad must be specially registered within 30 days of entering Bangladesh.

Check before you pay: dial *#06# on the phone to get its IMEI, then send KYD followed by the IMEI to 16002, or check at neir.btrc.gov.bd. Ask the shop who handles warranty and what happens if the phone is dead on arrival.

Computers, Laptops and PC Parts

Most computer shops share similar rules: check items before leaving the shop, report online delivery faults fast (often within 24 hours), and expect no returns for compatibility problems or change of mind. The real differences are branches, warranty handling and reporting windows.

20. Star Tech

Star Tech homepage with a Lenovo laptop offer, PC Builder and Laptop Finder tools, the most visited computer retailer among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Estimated traffic: about 43.8 million monthly visits (Semrush, August 2026); about 1.4 million monthly organic search visits (Ahrefs, August 2026)

Built with: customized OpenCart (PHP), Cloudflare

Established in 2007, Star Tech says it has 20 outlets in seven cities, selling custom PCs, laptops, phones, servers and Apple products. Hotline: 16793.

  • Refunds: 3 to 10 working days, with a charge on wallet, gateway and card refunds; any cashback is deducted.
  • Feedback: Trustpilot showed 2.0 out of 5 from 59 reviews in October 2026, with repeated complaints about order delays, slow warranty repairs and inconsistent support, and praise for authentic products and branch staff.

24. Computer Village

Computer Village homepage showing smartwatches, earbuds and a 10.10 countdown, a long-running IT retailer among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Built with: OpenCart (PHP 8.3), SSLCommerz, Cloudflare

Computer Village says it has served customers for more than 25 years. A 2022 industry roundup counted seven outlets and described it as an authorized seller for HP, Dell, ASUS and Intel. It sells laptops, desktops, components, printers, networking, security and server gear, and TVs, plus pre owned laptops with a 15 day warranty, and has a PC builder. Hotline: 09613605905. A homepage notice asks customers to call and confirm price and stock before ordering, because IT prices are volatile. Return terms not verified.

Suits: offices and buyers who want authorized brand laptops and printers. Before you order: confirm the price and stock by phone first.

25. PCB Store

PCB Store homepage with keyboards, mice, headsets and a game controller under an accessories banner, a PC builder shop covered in our ecommerce sites in Bangladesh guide

Built with: Next.js (React), SSLCommerz, Cloudflare

Despite the name, PCB Store sells complete computers, not circuit boards: budget PCs, gaming rigs, AI workstations and servers, plus laptops and components, with nationwide delivery. Its return page asks you to test items in store, report manufacturing defects quickly after online delivery, and return the full box with no physical damage to qualify for replacement.

Before you order: get the warranty for each component of a prebuilt PC in writing.

Ryans homepage promoting laptop gifts, delivery to 64 districts and 0% EMI, a nationwide computer chain among ecommerce sites in Bangladesh

Website: ryans.com

Built with: Laravel (PHP), jQuery, Cloudflare

  • Refunds: exchange first, otherwise a refund within 7 business days. Hotline: 16810.
  • Warranty: only if declared on the Ryans invoice.

TVs, Fridges and ACs

What Powers These Stores

We checked the public code of all 67 sites. Here is what they run on:

Platform or frameworkStores
Next.js (React)26
Other React apps (Daraz, Chaldal, Foodpanda, Sindabad)4
WordPress with WooCommerce6, plus 3 using WordPress behind Next.js
Shopify6
Laravel (PHP), including 2 on getCommerce7
OpenCart4
Vue or Nuxt4
Angular, Magento or Odoo2 each
Flutter, nopCommerce or custom builds4

Next.js is the most common choice, used by stores such as Arogga, Rokomari, Shwapno and Gentle Park. It renders pages on the server, which helps them load fast on phones and makes them easy for search engines to read. Many computer shops still run on OpenCart or Laravel, and fashion brands lean on Shopify and WooCommerce. SSLCommerz checkout code appeared on 16 sites.

The pattern: return windows here are short, often 24 hours to 3 days, and refunds often come back as store credit. Checking at the door matters more than almost anything else.

Shop Safely: Checklist, Reviews, Facebook Shops and Complaints

Before you pay

  1. Is the store real? Type the address yourself, check for a physical address and working phone number, and look for a trade licence or DBID number.
  2. Are policies published? The 2021 Digital Commerce Operational Guidelines expect stores to show return policies, delivery method and delivery time. A store that hides them is a warning sign.
  3. Is the price realistic? Discounts far below market were the hallmark of the shops that collapsed. Check the regular price a few days before a sale.
  4. How are you paying? Cash on delivery limits risk. If you prepay, keep the transaction ID, and be careful with non refundable "booking money."
  5. Are you ready at delivery? Open the parcel on camera before paying or signing, and know your return window.

Reading reviews

Separate courier complaints from product complaints, look for repeated patterns, check dates, and on marketplaces read seller reviews with photos. Follow the news too: Chaldal's 2026 troubles appeared in reports about unpaid staff before they appeared in reviews.

Buying from Facebook shops

Facebook pages often lack return policies and seller ratings. A DBID or trade licence number is a good sign, not a guarantee. Avoid paying in full in advance, check the page's history and name changes, get return terms in writing, and screenshot the post, chat and payment.

When something goes wrong

  1. Contact the store with your order number, photos, unboxing video and invoice, and get a ticket number.
  2. Escalate and ask for the compliance officer that the 2021 Guidelines require marketplaces to appoint.
  3. Complain to DNCRP under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009: call 16121 or file free at dncrp.com (you'll need your mobile number and NID). A district DNCRP office advises filing within 30 days. If the business is fined, the complainant receives 25 percent of the fine.
  4. For fraud, also file a General Diary (GD) at your local police station.

What Happened to Evaly

Evaly launched in December 2018 and grew on extreme discounts, including cashback of up to 150 percent, paid in advance. Deliveries stalled, refunds didn't come, and on 16 September 2021 RAB arrested its CEO Mohammad Rassel and chairperson Shamima Nasrin. The company owed Tk 543 crore to customers and suppliers, and courts have since convicted the pair in several cases. Dhamaka, e-Orange, Qcoom.com, Alesha Mart and others also collapsed, prompting mandatory DBID registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the biggest ecommerce site in Bangladesh?

Daraz is the largest general marketplace by reach and traffic. For electronics, medicine or branded clothing, a specialist store is often the better place to look.

Which online shopping site in Bangladesh is safest?

No single site is safest for everything. Brand stores and authorized retailers carry little risk of fakes; on marketplaces, choose official store sellers. Anywhere, read the return policy, pay on delivery when possible, and inspect before accepting.

Where can I buy an original iPhone online in Bangladesh?

Gadget & Gear describes itself as an Apple Authorized Reseller, and Dazzle says it is an authorized Apple retailer. Apple Gadgets, Pickaboo, Rio International and Star Tech also sell iPhones. Confirm the warranty type on the invoice and check the IMEI on NEIR before paying.

Where can I buy a TV, fridge or AC online?

Brand and distributor stores such as Walton, Singer, Sony Rangs, Vision and Jamuna Electronics, or multi brand retailers like Best Electronics. Inspect the unit at delivery, since returns afterward are rare.

Can I buy medicine online in Bangladesh?

Yes. Arogga and MedEasy deliver prescription and over the counter medicines after you upload a prescription. Check expiry dates on arrival.

Final Thoughts

Use a marketplace or grocery service for variety, an authorized retailer for expensive electronics, the brand's own store for clothing and beauty, and a licensed pharmacy for medicine. Read the return policy before paying, pay on delivery when you can, and open your order on camera. We recheck this guide regularly.
