We’re hiring a WordPress Plugin Developer who builds production-grade plugins using modern PHP, React, and WordPress tooling. You’ll own WooCommerce extensions, Gutenberg blocks, Elementor widgets, and scalable plugin architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain custom WordPress plugins using OOP and SOLID principles
- Design modular, service-based plugin architecture with proven design patterns
- Develop and maintain WooCommerce plugins and extensions including custom checkout flows, cart logic, pricing rules, subscriptions, and API integrations
- Create Gutenberg blocks using React and WordPress block APIs
- Build custom Elementor widgets, dynamic controls, and frontend components
- Refactor legacy plugins into clean, testable OOP systems
- Work deeply with WordPress hooks, filters, REST API, AJAX, and WP Cron
- Build React-powered admin dashboards and plugin settings panels
- Integrate third-party services like payment gateways, CRMs, shipping providers, and marketing tools
- Implement plugin security best practices: nonce validation, sanitization, permission checks
- Optimize WooCommerce performance, database queries, and background processes
- Debug plugin conflicts and ensure compatibility with themes and popular extensions
- Collaborate closely with design, QA, and product teams
Requirements:
- At least 2–4 years of professional experience building WordPress plugins
- Strong PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core knowledge
- Hands-on WooCommerce plugin development experience
- Advanced understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and clean architecture
- Practical experience applying design patterns: Factory, Singleton, Repository, Strategy, Observer
- Proven experience developing Gutenberg blocks with React
- Experience creating Elementor widgets and controls
- Strong JavaScript (ES6+), React, jQuery, HTML, and CSS skills
- Experience working with REST API, AJAX, and asynchronous workflows
- Confident with Git, code reviews, and debugging complex issues
Nice to Have:
- Experience with multisite or multitenancy WordPress setups
- Published plugins on WordPress.org or Envato
- Familiarity with Composer, PSR standards, and dependency injection containers
- Experience using performance tools like Query Monitor or New Relic
