WordPress Developer

As Notionhive continues to grow, we’re expanding our technology team. We’re looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with proven experience in building and publishing themes on ThemeForest. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 approved themes on ThemeForest and be highly capable of building custom websites from scratch, developing fully custom themes with deep WooCommerce integration, creating custom plugins, delivering pixel-perfect frontends, and managing complex API integrations. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and define user/system needs for websites and applications
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate deliverables and development timelines
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices
• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins, including full WooCommerce functionality
• Build frontend components using Elementor and Gutenberg, with custom blocks and enhancements
• Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRMs, logistics, etc.)
• Implement secure coding practices and maintain website security standards
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, performance, and Core Web Vitals
• Debug and resolve frontend/backend issues across various devices and browsers
• Maintain project documentation and stay up to date with evolving tools and frameworks
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of professional experience in WordPress development
• Minimum 2 WordPress themes approved and published on ThemeForest
• Solid core knowledge of OOP and PHP
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture: custom post types, theme hierarchy, hooks, and filters
• Experience with WooCommerce customization
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and MySQL
• Practical experience building and customizing WordPress plugins
• Hands-on experience integrating and consuming REST APIs
• Strong experience with GSAP for high-performance frontend animation
• Understanding of modern development workflow tools (e.g., Git, Gulp/Webpack, SCSS)
• Clear understanding of web security, SEO, and responsive design best practices

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience working with Three.js for 3D interactive visuals
• Familiarity with Progressive Web Applications (PWA)
• Experience with Laravel or frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React
• Contributions to open-source WordPress plugins or themes
• Understanding of animation libraries and advanced motion techniques

Job Details:

• Office workdays: Sunday to Thursday (5 Days); subject to periodic changes based on project requirements.
